The retrofit improvement of the flexographic machines includes the pressure modifications and the expansion devices like the vacuum transfer of the sheets between the individual towers. It is the transporting device working on the basis of the continuous vacuum suction. The created vacuum holds the sheet on the transportation plate and the driven rollers push the sheet into the next section of the machine. The sheet is not deformed mechanically at any spot during the transport. This device is being installed due to the significant timesaving during the switch of the job orders because of the elimination of the adjustment of the feeding rollers and also because of the increase in the accuracy of the register. And not in the last row, because of better drying and no tearing of the printing-ink.



Another type of the retrofit, especially for the older flexographic machines, is the improvement of the tower drives with the axial-elastic shaft, instead of main chain drive. The remaining chain drives are replaced with the gear belts, which provide substantially quieter and more accurate operation of the machine. This device is being installed because of the higher accuracy of the register (the axial-elastic shaft adjusts for the imperfections from the previous tower), quieter machine operation, and better accuracy of the secondary drives.



For the BOBST FLEXO 1575 machine, we offer the expansion of the sheet clearance to 1,600 millimeters. This way you can use the modified machine for supplying the automatic die-cutters, which have the maximum size of the sheet set to 1,600 millimeters.

In addition, for the BOBST FLEXO 1575 and BOBST FLEXO 1600 machines, we offer the automatic adjustment of the printing cylinder turns. The data stored in the memory can be reused for the repetitive job orders and the printing cylinders will adjust automatically into the register position.
